The 500W heater I selected for the background heating of my small kitchen works well. The temperature is easily set with the digital thermostat. It can also be programmed to operate using the 24/7 timer. The price of the Mylek heater is fair.

Neat little heater, but the wall fixing would benefit from a reduction in distance from wall. In other words it would make the dim design even more useful. Not sure why the heater must be mounted no less than 300mm from any wall and floor though. I had an issue with the first delivery, which was dealt with quickly and efficiently by the supplier. Very impressive.

The heater can be used manually or you can program to your exact requirements on the P3 program.

Is it possible to set this to "AUTO OFF " instead of a preset programme ?.
I.E. set the desired temp. Switch it on and set it to switch off after 3 hours or whatever.
You will need P3 to program your heater to come on and off to your exact requirements.

Hello.. what happens if there is a power cut. Does the heater turn back on and use the same setting as before the power cut automatically without having to press any buttons to unlock.
You would have to set the day & the time again but the settings should be saved depending on the time scale of the powercut.

I have just bought a Mylek Panel heater. Can I use it with a Hive plug? It looks like it just defaults to standby if the power is switched off - if I set a programme will this override the stand by?
No, the Heaters need to be turned on.
If I bought for example a 2kw panel heater can it be used at a lower setting, for example 1.5 kw ?
No. The temperature ranges from 1 to 35c on all wattages but they will cover a different size room.
Please measure your room for the correct wattage of heater required.

What is the difference between Comfort mode & Eco mode?
The Comfort temperature ranges from 5 to 35c and the Eco temperature ranges from 1 to 31c.

No. If power is lost the heater will have to be manually turned back on as a safety precaution.

How do I enable the thermostat feature or is it enabled by default on Eco, Comfort, P1, P2.
The instructions don't explain how the automatic thermostat works.
If for example I set the radiator to ECO mode at 22 degrees, will it maintain that temp via the thermostat or will it just stay on heating constantly.
In heating mode, once the temperature drops below the requested 22 degrees the thermostat will start again.

Is free standing 1kw good for a small lean to conservatory
This gives area coverage 15 m² but a more powerful heater may be required as you lose heat through the windows.
Once heater is off at night on programme can it be programmed to come back on a set room frost protection of day 10 C ?
The frost protection is set at 7 degrees. But you could select the Eco at 10 degrees.

The Eco Mode operates at a couple of degrees less to save on costs.
We bought one of these (the smallest one) in November 2018 through Amazon. It has been very good, but has just suddenly stopped working. The blue lights are still on, so it's not a supply or external fuse problem. Is there anything else to check? We need another one but I am disinclined to buy another of these if they are so short lived. Any suggestions you have to check it out would be gratefully received.

The manufacturer advises that they do not recommend connecting to mains supply timer, the heaters can be set through the App as required.

This can be turned on with the standby button and the + or - buttons used for the temperature. This model can also be programmed using the preset programs P1, P2 or P3.
Can you tell me what the typical and maximum surface temperatures of the 1KW unit are? I need to use it where there are dogs and occasionally small children about. If it is above 45deg, is there a way to limit the surface temperature? Thanks.
This is all dependant on temperature chosen along with the room insulation etc. Children & animals must be supervised at all times.

Hi, with only one slot along the top/front I am concerned it won't let enough heat out, can you confirm please as the ones' I'm replacing have 4 or 5 vents? Thank you
